Review Wednesday- Timeless Skin Care

This year I turned 40 years old.  It should be no big deal, right?  I mean, Jennifer Lopez is over 40.  Eva Longoria.  Drew Barrymore.  Amy Adams.  Eva Mendes.  Cameron Diaz.  These are all gorgeous women.  I guess the problem is that I don’t compare 40 year old Karmen to 40 year old Cameron Diaz; I compare 40 year old Karmen to 25 year old Karmen.  Ok… I am certainly a much better person now.  But those years of laughing and crying; the years of smoke-filled bars listening to local bands play; and the years of sun damage (I grew up in the pre-sunscreen age before we knew how important UV protection was)…  The person I see in the mirror now is not the person I see in my head.

This new reflection is much older looking.  My face is filled with wrinkles and age spots and… time.  It’s filled with time.  Enter Timeless Skin Care.

Now, I’m not a big “beauty products” kind of girl.  I don’t think at this point I even own a single bit of makeup.  My beauty regimen is pretty much a shower every other day or so.  Even in my younger years I was never a big “products” kind of girl.  But I need something and with all of my other life changes as of late, this product is a really great choice.

I love that Timeless Skin Care promotes Non-GMO, Vegetarian, and Cruelty Free.  I think that it is difficult to find products that claim even one of these, much less all three.  While the first two are not particularly important to me, the third is.  I want products that are safe to use, but I don’t want that at the expense of innocent animals.

The ingredients are listed right on the box and the bottle.  That is also great since in my pursuit of less chemicals it is nice to know that I can be sure of the amount of chemicals I am putting on my face.  Probably all products do this, but I imagine their lists to be longer.  The daytime serum only has 6 ingredients, much of which I know and don’t have to look up.  Of course, if I DO decide to look anything up, the website, www.timelessha.com happens to have an Ingredients FAQ and will tell you what the ingredient is and how it works.

The serums are both in adorable bottles too, which I love because… well… who doesn’t love cute little bottles?

My only wish is that the directions for how to use the products were put on the bottles.  For this post I saved the boxes they came in that had the directions printed, but I wouldn’t have saved them if I were just a regular consumer and would have been confused as to how and when best to use them.

Ok.  Let’s get down to the nitty gritty.  Did it work?

I’ve been using the Matrixyl Synthe 6 Serum every day and the 20%C+E+ Ferulic Acid Serum every day for a little over a month now.  The serums require only a few drops rubbed into my face.  Since both serums’ primary ingredient is water, they are both very runny so putting the serum on my fingers sometimes means losing a bit to the sink before I can get it rubbed into my fingers and then onto my face.

I have seen a reduction in the finer lines and the brown spots are definitely less visible.  My skin feels softer, but not oily which is pleasant.  The Husband keeps telling me how much younger I look.  I don’t know if he’s just saying that or if it’s true, but honestly, when I look in the mirror I am beginning to see 25 year old Karmen again only with a little more wisdom and a lot more confidence in who I am rather than just what I look like.

You can purchase the products on their website Timelessha.com (<— click link here).  They offer free shipping within the United States and they have some pretty good discounts right now including up to 30% off.  Their prices are certainly comparable to your mid-line beauty products which is fabulous because these are great natural products that won’t break the bank.  Beauty doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg!

The company offers several different serums for wrinkles, plus some 100% pure products like Hyaluronic Acid and some face creams.  I think I will pick up some of the eye cream because these late nights blogging have left me with some serious under eye baggage.

In the meantime, I’m going to keep using these serums and I’ll update  you in a month or so.  Stay young my friends!
